Wondering about playing more than 4 tables

I just started playing 6 tables( i want to move up to 8)I keep them going steady, I dont play them in sets.
I've noticed that I'm not playing as good maybe too much information I'm wondering if i was to try playing them in sets if it would help?
Would i be getting the samne amount of tourneys per hour as playing 4 tourneys constantly if I played 6 in sets?
Or should i maybe move down to the 10's form the 20's?
