I would bet the turn, probably in the range of 125 to chase away gutshots. You're probably not getting paid off by second or third pair anyway unless they hit their two-outer to trips. The board could get very scary for top set with a 4, 6, or 8. There are certainly times when it's appropriate to check behind on the turn after hitting a huge, disguised hand, but this isn't one of them. If the flop was [ 2h, 6c, 8s ], the risk of losing big when checking behind is more likely offset by what you win when a Q falls on the river and he makes his garbage 2-pair.

Push the river, lazy bastard. Are those last 5 chips to heavy for you?

absolutely great point, something I stumbled upon last night when they caught that miracle card.

i cant fault your play here. maybe checking the turn isnt the best play but if that enables you to get him all in on the river with something like A5 or A& where he would have folded to a bet on the turn so much the better.

Slowplaying is a disease.

200 would be a good bet on the turn. It's enough to pot commit him if he has a pair. It's also small enough that it looks like you might be a bit scared. Finally, it's big enough that even counting implied odds, it makes it a mistake for him to draw to just a gutshot.
