Default thinking before acting

I've been playing poker for about a year and a half now, but i've never asked myself any questions before calling, betting, etc. besides on big hands, I've always just based my play on instict. So I was wondering what questions I should ask myself before making plays...

Here's a good one to start with.

"What percentage of the time do I have the best hand here?"

Always know the pot odds before you bet. Sometimes you have a compulsory call (good bet) with a bad hand.

Ask yourself why your oppenents are acting the way they are. What are they holding? What do they think you are holding? Then go with instinct.

1) Raise?
2) Fold?
3) Call?

1. What makes him to do that, what he does
2. Is my hand worth raise, call or should I simply fold
3. Does he have me beat
4. If he does have me beat, can I outdraw him
These are some that came into my mind.
