Cap pre-flop and bet all the way. Don't put yourself in a position where you allow no bets to go in on a street.

So, yes, this is the definition of FPS.

This line is fine HU. How bad is it that I want to 3-bet the river?

It's fine except for those times villain checks behind the turn and you lose tons and tons of value.

Only take this line if you KNOW villain will bet both the flop and turn when checked to. And, even then, capping and betting all the way may make it harder for villain to find a good fold.

I really want to also. She could be holding a hand like AK and suspect a river bluff. Maybe AJs or something like that. KK/QQ are very likely possibilities, and JJ,44,22 are mathematically less likely.

I'd probably lead this flop and hope to get raised, so I could go for the c/r on the turn. Similar to your line but I get an extra bet in on the flop.

There's so much shuckin and jivin here the analysis gets awkward but if we begin with preflop is fine - not capping when HU is perfectly OK.

But you must then lead the flop (you have under-represented your hand preflop) now you should come out big because 95% of the time you are going to get raised to which you can

a. call and c/r the turn if villain is pretty certain to bet when checked to... or
b. 3 bet and lead the turn and river; this, if villain is the type to check behind on the turn with overs.

In any event, as played, your preflop, flop and turn plays are so funky as to make me want to 3bet/call the river.

With 99 and JJ the only likely hands that we are losing to and with 99 possibly folding to the turn raise, I think going to the mat on the river is warranted.

I think it's very important to realize that if you don't capp pre-flop bet-calling the flop becomes much, much better than check-calling.

Another thing we can consider is check-raising the flop, hoping to get three-bet, and check-raising again on the turn. Then check-raise the river and open a bottle of champagne. Obviously that line requires an opponent who's betting pretty much automatically when checked.

Good lord, man, do you realize how "changed" you are in the last several weeks? I was going to comment on this a week or 2 ago but this post puts you over the top!

You most certainly do not need to cap preflop here.
