Why in god's name you don't raise the turn is beyond me. I must've misread your hand. Your quads are good. I thought you had a Q high flush on a paired board with 8big bets in the pot.

I was thinking something along these same lines. I typically raise the turn here. Also, I would definitely raise the river here.

Here's my take,

Mistake#1...posting in MP3 (especially 9-handed)

Mistake#2...not raising the turn

Mistake#3...not raising the river

Mistake#4...not 3-betting the river

I think the biggest mistake of all was not 3-betting the river. Although I believe not raising the turn is a very close 2nd and maybe even worse.

IMO.... I have to agree with everyone here that a raise on the turn is a near must. I can understand you were trying to keep the callers behind you in the hand on the turn and therefore increase the pot--but then raise the river. If another heart comes on the river you then lose your flush to the Ace rage people hold. You've got them commited, make them pay to see your cards. The boat possibility is really remote. My vote is a minor OK flop play, an OK turn, and a missed value bet on the river.

Well I like it because BB may well be overbetting a straight (or even just trips or 2 pair) in the thought that there are no flushes out there.

It might also be that it supports a line in my vaguely similar thread which needs your support

One should really be a little careful on a paired board in this spot. I wouldn't 3 bet this.

Not raising the turn is by far the worst. By a wide margin.

This has almost zero effect on one's longterm rate.
