Default Re: NBA nov 26th Philly (-1) vs New York

Home court factor. HC is usually worth about 3 points. So when NY was on the road at Charlotte, the line was saying that NY is better by a point, but with Charlotte having home court advantage, they are favored by 2.

Since the Philly-NY game is in NY, the points swing the other way. The line is saying that Philly is better than NY by 4 pts, but on the road with NY having home court advantage, Philly is only favored by 1.

So you can see that Philly is viewed as 5 pts better than Charlotte, relative to NY, which seems reasonable. Still, I also would have thought that Philly should be about -4 to -5 or so at NY, even with NY having HC. NY has been pretty bad this year. Philly at -1 looks like a good play. I'm just starting to look at games again, though, after a brief vacation, so my views may not be up to speed yet. Should be adjusted and will get back to the games in earnest next week.
