Default Do you like this move against a donk ?

.50 /1 NL

Hero has $62
Donk has $80

Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Donk has called nearly every raise that hero has made preflop. No biggie, though.

Hero raises $4
Donk calls
Everyone folds

Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 2 (something similar, jack I'm sure of)
pot=$9
Hero bets $5.50 (my standard bet after a raise whether I have top pair or not)
Donk calls

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] pot = $20
Hero checks
Donk bets $7.25
Hero raises to $15
Donk calls

River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 clubs now) pot=$56
Hero bets $28 All-in
Donk calls

Hero wins $112

Not sure what Donk called with. I'm finding that you'd be surprised how much a donk will call on the river. Do you like this or not ? I felt it was really the only move since I had like 1/2 my stack in already.

I think your 'standard bet after a raise whether you have top pair or not' should be higher. That's allowing draws to get in cheaply, especially if it's a 3 or 4-way pot.

your standard bet should be closer to 2/3 the pot after a preflop raise.

Your turn checkraise is too small on a two flush board as well....anyone with a flush draw is getting odds to draw at it.

River worked out ok, but I think check calling might be better...I think you are ahead of more hands that bet than you are ahead of hands that call here.

Turn: K pot = $20
Hero checks

Hmm, why do this? Just make a pot sized bet. From the way you described the guy he seems loose-passive, so there´s a serious risk of him checking and hitting a draw with the free rivercard?

Yeah, the turn check might have been pointless. I didn't want the table thinking that a check always meant that I didn't have anything.

My previous hand with donk. I had AT and check/folded on the turn when board got scarey so I checked this time and then raised to make him afraid of my checks in the future.
He respected my checks for the remainder of my time on the table.

Thanks, will increase the raise sizes. I try to raise the amount that I think villain will call if he is on a draw. But not too little to give great odds.
