Default Best Stud or Stud8 Games in AC?

Going for my first time tomorrow, where are the best games 5/10 or less for either? I wasn't a big fan of the boring 1-5 passive friendly games in Vegas, I want some action baby!

Taj and Trop def. have 5/10. Taj might have a Stud8 game, but I think it's a mixed game (1/2 Omaha8).
When I went to House of Blues/Showboat in July they had 5/10 on the interest list with about 4 names, never got it going.

As far as where the juicy LL stud games in AC are, I'd love to know too ! From what I've been told, avoid the 5/10 games at the Taj during the week, a lot of regulars. Weekends will probably be OK. Never played 5/10 at the Trop, but I'm curious as to how those games are. 5/10 at the HOB/Showboat would probably be pretty juicy if it got going on a semi-regular basis.

Every poker room in AC has 1/5 stud. Even Borgata.
1/5 is a crapshoot anywhere, it's tough to beat the rake. These games are the typical VFW/AARP/rock garden games during the week. Most of the guys in the game will know each other, moan about hold em' taking over, and never raise unless they have a boat. Pretty boring most of the time. I wonder if it's more boring than 2/4 HE ?
But, I've played 1/5 stud at off hours (between 11PM-5AM) at Taj/Trop on Fri./Sat. nights with drunks & maniacs, and it's juicy. Unfortunately, you need these type of players in 1/5 to make it more interesting. They suck out straights/flushes sometimes, but usually they're fishy. I'd try these games if possible.

Because of my work I travel quite a bit, so I've played some stud at other casinos. Some places spread $2/10 stud. That's a really good game, I don't know why any of the AC casinos don't spread it. I like the pots/action of 5/10, just not crazy about the .50 ante.

Hello,

Taj is the stud capital of the world...go there. 5-10 goes constantly and is probably decent on weekends, but switch games if you're in a rock garden. Honestly, if you have the roll and knowledge, the games get much better as you move up. 10-20, 15-30, and 20-40 stud are all excellent there and run pretty much all the time.

As for stud8, taj has a mixed game (half and half) which is half omaha8, half stud8. The game is 10-20 played with a half kill and has good action.

Borgata has a 15-30-45 stud with good action. But bring lots of money. Good luck...let me know if you have further questions, I've played a lot of stud in New Jersey.

Jeff

Flights to Philadelphia are cheap. As a poker player, you need to get out of Cleveland!

I have a 4-hour commute to AC and still manage twice a month lol.

Edit: Trop has a 15-30-45 stud8 also heh

10/20 two-way is a good game. Mostly regulars, but these guys (and gals) tend to favor the O8B, so if you're dealt some good cards during the Stud 8B rounds, you can earn pretty good money. You will regularly see some dodgy hands turned over during the O8B rounds as well.
