Default Atlantic City Poker Rooms

I am planning a trip to Atlantic City and was wondering about the best hold 'em rooms there. I've read what has been previously posted. I play low to low/mid limit (usually 5/10 or 10/20, sometimes lower)and greatly prefer non-smoking rooms. I've looked into what is out there on the internet which mostly has info on tourneys and the like. I'd probably plan to stay at whichever casino has the best pokerroom (which I'd define as ideally non-smoking, softish games, and well run). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks! Lara

go to the tropicana...the waitresses are much hotter... there's one there that's always staring at me (through her one good eye)

Anyone else have any thoughts? The Borgata rates are as high as $450 on the weekend! How much do you need to play to get a decent players rate? Is it better to stay at someplace like Harrah's and just play at the Borg?

you won't get the rate on this trip but build up some play at one place and you'll usually qualify the next time. The Trop has good rates and decent rooms and a great poker room.

Nobody pays rack in AC, most rooms are comped to degenerates. Poker players with established play can get the poker rate...you probably can't. There are many cheaper hotels (non-casino) nearby, particularly if you have a car (from decent to dive). Search this forum.

are you driving? If you are I'd just stay in a hotel in absecon...it's a lot cheaper. If you're like me, you'll just end up sleeping in the corner of a card room at 730 am anyway...

I personally am not a huge fan of the Borgata mainly because of the long wait times. Try the tropicana for low limit. The taj is good for 10/20 and above. Borgata can be good but if you go get there early anytime after 6pm is harsh.

Borgata is the best room imho, but you probably do not want to stay there. I also love the Trop and the room prices are much better.
