Failed Blind Steal
Sattelite with 60 players, about 35 left, tickets for last 10.
BB is passive and reluctant to join the action. First of all, am I an idiot for trying this steal with a junk hand? Second, do I give it a continuation bet on the flop? If yes, how large? All comments welcome. Re: Failed Blind Steal
Not much folding equity with a min raise vs the BB. With your stack size, I think you needed to push to take it down pf.

Re: Failed Blind Steal
First of all, stealing is never stupid. However, making a min bet to try to steal is. You should have put in a lot more than that... I'd probably just push it there with less than 10x BB if I was going to try to steal in this spot.
Second, if BB is weak/passive preflop as described, I can't see myself putting any more chips into this pot. Unfortunately, you put yourself in a tough situation by making that small raise preflop. So, I check the flop with the intention of folding to any bet. BB will most probably have a hand or an Ace, if he plays as described, so it really isn't worth putting anything else in. Now, if he's really weak AFTER the flop, you could make a bet of 400 and if he calls or raises you should be done with the hand. |

Re: Failed Blind Steal
Two plays here... Fold pre-flop and see 7 hands free - or All in and hope BB doesnt call.
