Default 3/6 6 Max: Two More Blind Defense Hands

Still working on learning to defend my big blind.

Hand 1:

5 handed

Preflop: Hero is the BB with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG (62/16/2.97) raises, folded to Hero who calls.

Flop: (4 1/3 sb) J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero checks, Villan bets, Hero raises, Villan re-raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero checks, Villan bets, Hero calls with the intention of check calling the river.

Standard?

Hand 2:

6 handed

Preflop: Hero is the BB with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
1 fold, MP (62/16/2.97) limps, 1 fold, Button (22/14/1.8) raises, 1 fold, Hero calls, MP calls.

Flop: (6 1/3 sb) 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero checks, MP checks, Button bets, Hero raises, MP folds, Button calls.

Turn: (5 BB) T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero bets...

Again standard?

I too am working on my blind play at the same limit.

Hand 1:
I would check raise the turn against this extremely LAG player, call down if he 3 bets.

Hand 2:
I would fold preflop.

Is this right?

I think a read is sort of necessary in the first hand. I don't really like calling an open-raise with Kxs.

I dunno, seems kind of weak. He obviously didn't care if someone called and wasn't raising to steal the blinds.

Then again, I suck at poker.

Hand #2 looks good, but I might toss hand #1 preflop. Your postflop play is fine in hand #1. If he checks, you should certainly be betting unles you know he is tricky.

Yeah, I didn't realize you weren't suited in the second hand. I chuck this unless it's suited.

#1 I like. I might actually bet-call the turn and check-call the river if you've seen him be super overaggressive with draws.

I would fold in #2 preflop. Postflop is good so far.

why would you cr flop? it will only slow him down if he's full of it. i would only take initiative if he checks behind a lot of turns. consider 3 betting preflop and taking control of the hand if he's capable of folding on the flop or turn.

hand 2 fold preflop. post flop standard.

Hand #1:

The river went check, check. Villan showed A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. MHIG.

Hand #2:

Button folded to the turn bet.

I think I am starting to understand blind play better. Although in this thread in hand one I got advice not only agreeing with my preflop play, but also a suggestion to 3 bet and to muck it preflop.

I thought hand #2 might be pretty thin to call preflop. I figured I had some decent implied odds from the MP player if I hit. Ironically he gave up on the flop. The concensus seems to be muck the 76o here. Would that still have been the case if the button had open raised?
