Default Animated GIF help...

I want to go from a DVD to an animated GIF.

I would also like to edit the movie a bit (by cutting out some shots, and enlarging one part).

So, I guess, I want to go from DVD, to an array of GIFs (which I would then edit) to an animated GIF.

Can anyone point me to some good software for this (ripping the DVD is not a problem, and I can get it into an mpeg (or other similar format))

Since you wouldn't really want an anigif containing all the frames anyway, but rather one that contains one in 5 or so. I would suggest a very simple way of doing this, this requires no extra software or anything like that and should be very doable up to a certain amount of frames.

Display the first frame you want on your computer, take a screenshot(ctrl-prtscr), paste it in paint and edit. Then do the next one, and so on.

Alternatively, I assume there is software that does it all for you (I've heard of GIF animator, but never used it)

If you just want to do one that is not to lengthy I would do It the way i just suggested.

Good luck,

Johan
