Default 3 Pair

This is what confuses me more than any other hand. Especially if I have a low draw.

What do you do if you flop 3 pair.

"What do you do if you flop 3 pair."

If you flop 3 pair then that means your low draw is crap. E.g. you have AK23 and AK3 comes out on the board. You need runner runner low cards to get your low, and even then it's probally not good.

How I'd play it depends on the strength of the FHs, table aggression/looseness, size of pot, other draws you have, type of flop etc.

My line on 3 and 4 pair is:

You're drawing almost dead against anyone with top set, so watch for flop aggression that says it. Depending on the donkage of the game, if I'm holding AK23 and the flop comes AK3, if it's checked to me I will bet it.. any action, though, without some sort of backup is an insta-fold.

3 and 4 pair can be a good sign if you're holding the top two by the river, and you're in the same situation where top set would be the nuts... in my experience.
