Default 88 in SB preflop

Button has been raising a fair amount of hands preflop. No reads on BB other than he is not crazy.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (5 handed) converter

MP (t2995)
Button (t1100)
Hero (t1385)
BB (t2170)
UTG (t1350)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to t100</font>, Hero...?

EDIT: 35$ tournament, 6-handed

It's early. This is for the most part not a real raise. See the flop and decide from there.

Later,
Rick

I think calling here puts you in a bad position on the flop. I'd reraise to 350 or so, fold to a reraise, and push all in on all but the scariest boards.

rereaising here is dangerous because you practically commit the rest of your chips by doing so. Unless the b is a complete maniac who you think could easily have a worse hand and will play back with it I would call and take a flop.

I'd call here too.

I wouldn't reraise as I'd fold if raised back. I just want to see the flop cheaply.

I think folding to a reraise is a mistake. The button is smallish so he may very well be willing to race any hand. So you might fold to 66,AJ,KQ etc etc. And folding to those hands is terrible
