Default Flopped trips

People keep joining and leaving the table and all other players in the hand are new and unknown. I wish I had reads as much as you do.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG bets, CO calls, SB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG folds, CO caps, Hero calls.

River: (12.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 16.50 BB

First thing that went though my mind on the turn was that open-ended got there. I figured my odds of having a bigger 7 than him were greater than him having 65. What would you do on the turn after being raised and on the river?

Once he caps call down. And why in god's name did you not raise the flop. You have no garuntee the turn is getting bet. In fact, just bet the flop.

Not raising the flop was a mistake, no doubt. You don't think there's any value at all in a river bet considering this looks as much like a slowplayed 7 as a set/56?

Edit: Err, I mean "Not raising the flop..."

If it's a slowplayed 7 he overplayed it. I'm a lag but check call even if the river blanked.

Definately want to extract value from trips lower kicker where appropriate but the problem with this spot is of the hands you can put him on you only beat a lower 7 and theres only 1 in the deck. Check/call river seems best in this spot to me.

Also agree with just raising the flop in this spot OOP. Take your trapped bets and lead the turn against these unknowns, on boards like this that often miss everyone the turn just gets checked through too often, plenty of drawing hands will hang around.

I c/c the river. I also raise the flop most of the time.

i would c/r here, this reminds me of wynton's AAK thread where i said i'd c/r with KJ sometimes so that i could also c/r with trips to disguise the hand.

The flop is begging for a c/r if you knew a bet was coming - did you? Free cards on this board are less worrying that other boards, but i hate giving free cards, so i'd donk if i feared a checkthrough (which is hopefully why people don't know if i'm checking, betting or c/ring trips) - people may make you for an 8.

Anyway - c/r flop, c/c river after cap.

I bet the flop, i C/c the river.

Tempting to slow play trips however you want to be sure someone will be the flop/turn and you arn't.
