Default Opportunity to Laugh at My Misfortune Part Deux

Inspired by this thread:LINK

Just got rejected from my first attempt at applying to grad school. Apparently, my lackluster performance as an Undergrad is coming back to bite me in the ass (although in hindsight I wouldnt go back and change a thing). Also, I might of set the bar kind of high. Still, its disapointing really working hard to do something and failing (I had taken about 15 masters credits with an almost perfect GPA @ the school for the past year as a non-degree, non-matriculated student).

BAH, so i guess its time to pour a stiff drink and LAG it up.

Can you explain this more? Where did you go? What were you trying to do? I'm just starting to look into going to grad school and wasn't exactly top 10% of my college class.

I dont want to get into too many specifics but basically Ive been taking classes in my spare time (after work, etc) at the place I planned on applying to for the past year. This was done in order to attempt to convince whomever makes the decisions that I could in fact succeed in their program. I completed 15 credits at about a GPA of 3.9.

I didnt convince them.

FWIW my undergrad GPA was about a 2.87. Also, relevant proffessional experience was considered a big plus at the school and mine is tangential at best.

Back to the salt mines...

Hopefully your thread linking to my thread will inspire others to laugh at me too.

Sucks to hear you got rejected. Were you applying to some ridiculously overselective school? The reason I ask is because going to grad school might be a path I'll be taking soon and I wasn't a 4.0'er (though not a 2.87'er either).

Funny coincidence: only one other person replied to our threads... and I just noticed that you didn't respond to mine. You, sir, suck.
