W. Deranged has a point here, its not the VPIP that matters... look for games where your opponents play poorly post flop. Try to find games where the went to showdown is high, and the table's aggression factor (or aggression frequency if that is your preferred method in Poker Ace) is low. These games generally have lower variance, but are often as good as games with a high VPIP. I generally hunt for barely-tight tables (a few tighties with a significant fish or two) that also have the qualities listed above.
