can this possibly be correct? if i 3bet and he caps shouldn't i at least see if i can spike a Q on the turn? 3betting and folding to a cap seems really weird to me...

Yeah. My bad. You should see the turn card after he caps, but fold if it isn't a queen.

i read over some of the replies and i dont want to waste your time but...

just raise the flop, knock out aces and kings. scare them into thinking you have a 4 or AA.

Ugh. Bad advice. There is no benefit to raising the turn. If he's bluffing the A then he folds, if he isn't, well then . . .

And only a maniac bets the river with a hand worse than hero's.
