Default AA...huge pot...c/r gets me thinking...

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

MP2 = 35/13 but only about 20 hands, hasn't gotten out of line
UTG2 = 78/0 - very bad calling station type
Button = 58/15 - very bad also, could have anything, has rebought a couple times (has only 7ish bets)
BB = 55/2 - another calling station type (has 9ish bets)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 1 fold, MP2 raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, MP2 caps, Hero calls, Button calls, BB calls, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (20.33 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, UTG+2 checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets, Button calls, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, MP2 raises, Hero 3-bets, Button calls, BB calls, UTG+2 folds, MP2 caps, Hero calls, Button calls, BB calls.

Turn: (18.66 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, MP2 bets, Hero ???

what is the plan from here on? what hands do you put villains and others on? althought putting the rest on hands may be impossible or moot...

comments welcome...

With only 20 hands on MP2, but the chance he might be a LAG, I call down, given no heart river. 2 back on turn is an esy fold, one back depends on post flop aggression reads.

KK, QQ, JJ, TT Maybe AKs

That means your ahead atleast half of the time.
Raise the turn and call down (If he stops. keep firing)

This may be far too weak but I would call the turn bet and fold to any raise from button or BB (They hit their flush).

What is MP2 capping the flop and leading the turn with? You´re ahead of KK QQ but behind AK [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] AQ [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] AJ [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (All 3 maybe less probable given the preflop cap but who knows) and JJ. MP2 could also have red Aces.

Unimproved, with button and/or BB still just calling (and if no heart falls on the river) I´d call it down.

This is however how I see it after having lost in raised pots with sets of Aces, Kings, and Jacks no less than about 15 times the last 3 days. I suspect that I´m beginning to play scared

the BB being in gives you yet another reason to raise. Let alone the fact that you are atleast 50-50 to win this hand against MP2 you need to raise to give the BB worse odds..

This is a tough spot but between raising folding and calling.. Raising i think is the best.

This is exactly what I would typically put the villain on, and therefore exactly how I would play it...

Yes I make a crying raise on the turn.

Nice table selection BTW.

Villain's play is excellent.

Preflop cap is obvious. The preflop check-raise is excellent given that he figured you would bet and he knows he has tremendous pot equity here that isn't likely to change much on the turn.

The turn bet is obvious. He still has top pair and is free-rolling to the nut flush.

I think that he played it fine.

How did you proceed with the hand and what was the river card (and action)?
