Vegas place to stay
Me and a couple buddies are gonna stay in the vegas/LA area for a month or 2.
We need to know of some good furnished accomodations we can get for a month or so. Cheap is good, but we dont want it to be too horrible either. We dont mind it being small or a bit cramped or whatever. Something on the order of 600k a month or less would be nice. Location, in vegas, in LA or somewhere in between would all be fine. Somewhere with in 15 min of either, you get the idea, just in the area. thanks blake |

Re: Vegas place to stay
I think $600,000 should afford you some decent accomodations.

Re: Vegas place to stay
So you're looking for a place in either LA or Vegas, or it can be in between the two (but must be within 15 minutes of either), and it's ok if it's small and cramped because you can't afford more than $600,000 a month?
This is making my head hurt. |

Re: Vegas place to stay
People in your situations usually stay at some sort of extended stay hotel, where they pay month to month rent. Check out Budget Suites of America and Emerald Suites. Rent is usually about 1,000 monthly.

Re: Vegas place to stay
Something for $600 a month for 3 people in Los Angeles?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH! Sorry to be harsh man, but I don't have much respect for people who make some huge leap like visiting a new city without having done at least a little homework. The cheapest places I know that are not in the ghetto run $1200 and up for a three bedroom. These are not in good areas, just not in the ghetto. Cheapest furnished place I know of at all is $750 for a studio that is in a bad area, but not the ghetto. Vegas is a bit cheaper and $800-$1000 may get you into a 2 or 3 bedroom place. |

Re: Vegas place to stay
I've contacted a couple people. With places to stay under 600 a month. All outside of vegas, LA is pretty expensive, Best I saw was around 1k.
In vegas, most of the places are 2 beds, one of them was a king size bed, which I think we can fly. One of them was with a stripper, for like 500 a month to sublease 1 bed room. I think we'll go with that. Will post a trip report. |

We could fit 3 people in most of these places though i think. also, I dont think visiting a new city is "a huge leap". If you go backpacking or consistently traveling for awhile, you'll have to deal with some of this stuff on the fly. Also, I am doing research right now; We wont be down there til feburary, so I think im getting started on time. thanks for the imput about costs. blake |

Re: Vegas place to stay
You can all split a studio room at the Budget Suites which is what I did back when I went with friends for month or two visits. It should be about $400-500 for each of you for the month and has everything you would need. Stay at the one behind the Stardust as it is very close to Wynn. You can also just walk to Stardust (1 minute walk) and get a cab there to take you anywhere you want. You are a couple minutes walking distance to Wynn, a couple more to Mirage, and a very short cab ride to Bellagio. Maybe 15-20 minute walk.
