Default Attempt to isolate with ...junk (3/6)

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

MP is very loose-passive preflop 72/5 and BB is very tight (12/11) - bless him

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP calls, Hero raises, BB calls, MP calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, MP folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

So we lost the LPP. I can't think BB calls a preflop raise with a 6x hand a lot of times - most times an attempt to steal

Turn: (5 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets

This is a scary card but I reckon I can steal here 1 out of 6 times. Obviously I'm giving up if raised-called

Fold preflop. You don't have to win every hand.

When BB calls pf that is the last $ i put in w/out a real hand. Our isolation didn't happen and you're just wasting money. Also, judging by your rude response you seem to be in a pretty bad mood- dwindling BR due to plays like these the cause?

This is your first poker related reply to my posts so please keep it on. As for being in a bad mood b/c of losing:

I think this play has much more value when executed in position, as opposed to from the SB.

Why?
The guy you isolate is loose-passive which means it is unlikely you will push him off a hand. Now lets have a look at what you got.. nothing. You also are out of position.
Very -EV move.

You surely are behind on the flop with your trash but raise anyways in a desperate attempt to push him off his hand. The A on the turn helped you with it as he obviously didnt have one.
Your play worked this time, but it will cost you a lot of money in the long run, please stop doing it.
