Re: Help me not get stacked with TPTK ($600)
[ QUOTE ]
why call a raise OOP? [/ QUOTE ] Because this is a clear call in a tournament, and billyjex is a tournament player? Defending your blinds is a lot more important in a tourament than a cash game. That said I personally don't mind the call either in a 5 handed game but I'm a tournament player too... |

Re: Help me not get stacked with TPTK ($600)
Ugh, its 2 more bb's to call? and a 3 way pot if you call. I do.
Lead flop, check turn for pot control, value bet river depending on board, or check again for him to bluff if it got scary. |

Re: Help me not get stacked with TPTK ($600)
Call preflop and play poker. Unless CO is uber-tight, I call this all day.
Pot the flop and play poker. If he raises, you're probably beat. |

I definitely prefer check/calling. Or bet/calling. But I'm rarely betting the flop here if I'm folding to a raise. |

Re: Help me not get stacked with TPTK ($600)
I definately make the preflop call, folding is just silly.
Why? You're oop and barring a KQTr flop you pretty much have trouble flopping anything that'll either win you a small pot or get you into trouble. Jex, you said this always gets you into tough situations...why even play it? You answered your own question and then told everyone to disregard when you said to ignore the PF action. And I'm reading through and seeing I got greeked by like three people. Call preflop and play poker. I prefer to play poker with hands that won't get me into lots of really tough situations. - C - |
