Default question stars $100+9 NL

Ok so it's the Saturday night $100+9 NL on Stars. I believe there were like 350+ entrants so 36 paid.

It's like the second round on the whole damn tourney and I have A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in LP folds to me I (T1500) raise to $80, button (T2200) makes it $400 to go.

So it's $320 to me not sure about the guy never seen him before. I assume he doesn't do this with AA and KK. I mean I guess the question is should I be willing to get in pf here? I mean I guess there is a chance he folds I really have no idea it was a very quick raise on his part.

What do you guys do?

With no reads I assume 99-AA. I would call for a flop and make a tester bet to see where you are. It's entirely possible he's on Ax and is just trying to take the pot right there.

call $320 leaves me with 1.1K in chips pot would be like $830 and I'm out of position.

This is late position action. Allin! No point in calling dor a big portion of your stack.

Well if your looking for a raise/ fold answer then I would fold considering the odds.

But then again, I'm new here so what do I know

My standard reraise is 3-4x your bet, so it wouldn't be that unusual to be up against aces or kings here. Still, you got one of the better hands, and its worth it to see a flop to see where you are at. That, or put him to the test and reraise all in, depends on if you think you can outplay him postflop if you miss with your hand. He will have position on you if you call his bet, so you can't go wrong with reraising or calling here.

Folding isn't in my list of things I'd do here.

vs an inconventional raise like that, i think i'm pushing... it doesnt seem like AA or KK and since he's up to 2200 that early, he might be a bit loose (definitely not a sure thing, but it's probably more possible than someone that's still at 1500) and maybe he calls you w/ AQs or the like.

plus some FE over some pairs probably.

Well there isn't much room for outplaying given I'm out of position and the pot is roughly $830 and I have $1.1K left. So my flop options if I miss are:

1) c/r all in
2) open push all in
3) bet $300 fold to raise

Does that sound about right?

Difficult for him to lay down any pair to (1) and (2) and I think option (3) is asking for a re raise.

So I'm assuming you would push here and expect coinflip?

I'd either push, or call push on any flop, and hope the flop doesn't impress him. I'd probably lean towards pushing really.
