If you have some cash and are willing to open a business:

1. Pizza place
2. Laundromat
3. Car wash

If you have more than "some" cash:

1. Real Estate
2. Stock market

If you are looking for a job that pays well and isn't hard to get/keep:

1. Work for the government
2. Work at a University/College

If you want to make LOTS of cash and aren't afraid of prison:

1. Coke dealer

I'm about to make a radical career change and I will go with the best suggestion in this thread. I will not hang out with billionaires in their 60's-70's though, because I suspect these fine gentlemen would want to do more with me than just hang out. Anything criminal is out of the question too, for the same reason.

Keep the suggestions coming.

I would guess psychiatrists. Yeah there's the med school stuff, but once that's over you just sit in a room with troubled people and write them a script for a pill that solves all their problems. That'll be $150/hr please, for sitting on my tuckus. Sorry, Dr. Al.

My next door neighbor is a chiropractor. I honestly have no idea when he works. He is always home.

If it were easy, it wouldn't be high-paying.

If you are brilliant but lazy a college professor is the way to go. You teach 4 classes a week. Have two hours of office hours. And the rest of your time is free for your 'research' (research = poker)...

edit: I almost forgot, you also get your summers off.

Though I agree it's a nice lifestyle, being a college prof does not necessarily mean you make buckets of money. My dad was a math prof. I made more than him at my first real job.
