Default Work Internet Filter

Is there a simple way to bypass my works internet filter? I need to check my Yahoo email.

He probably works for a financial firm. They ban all web based email for obvious reasons.

there is no way to bypass it without an IT guy hooking you up.

Just web based email. They also block twoplustwo.com but, I was able to get through by using forumserver.twoplustwo.com vs. www.twoplustwo.com. There has to be an easy way to bypass this.

Use one of the anonymizer sites, provided they aren't all blocked too.

1. Set up a linux box from home.
2. SSH in from work/create a SOCKS5 proxy on the localhost.
3. Point your browser to the new proxy.
4. Profit.

Oh, and if you're recommending setting up a linux box and proxies, it may be simpler to just use remote desktop and forward the port on his router...
