I'm sure that Dan's a winning player. But it's easy to be a winning player when you nit out the full table ring games.

I'm pretty certain that this is false at 100/200.

You'll notice that the other players who think he is a solid player are the uber nits.

I dare you to find one person on this board who has played with me and thinks that I play like an uber nit.

Damn,

You are having some serious reading comprehension problems buddy. I never called Dan Druff an uber nit. Go back to fourth grade and learn to read. Where do you people come from?

Take your own advice. I have played with DanDruff. Tons. And in a previous quote I quoted Paluka in agreement to "I think everyone is underestimating how good DanDruff is." Therefore, read your statement, and stfu I read fine, you don't. You say all the people who like his game are uber-nits. I like his game. I'm not an uber-nit. Do the math?

Well, you got me there. You are indeed correct. Lord knows what I was smoking there. Probably crack. Ah well. Such is life.

I'll be happy to agree with you that Dan is a good player. He is by no means a great player, but definatly good.

Ok, I suppose with all the egg on my face, I can't beg you to go back and read what I wrote can I? But I never said all players who like his game are uber nits. Regardless, I don't know who you are, so it's hard for me to judge whether or not you are an uber nit, or just a regular old solid player like Dan Druff. Suffice it to say, the players who I know that I've played with online who've spoken up, are all uber nits.

Assuming the PS isn't rigged, I would say that results don't lie. While there is a lot of variance in poker, how much you can swing down is a function of both your edge and the variance.

My solid opinion is that if you're CRUSHING the game, unless it's a real manic game, it is very difficult to downward deviate more than 200 bets. Roy Cooke, who is game selective, has says he's never swung down over 200 bets. And frankly, I've been playing poker for 13 years at limits up to 400/800 and I have never swung down more than 200 bets (albeit the mixed games I usually play have significantly smaller downward swings than a straight holdem game because all-around players have bigger edges against specialists and the hi/lo games naturally have lower variances.)
So if you find yourself losing for months at a time and down 300 bets or more, you may still be a winner in that game, but it also tells me that your edge is not that big. That is how I would characterize Dan Druff in the 1/2 PS game: overall, he probably still has a positive expectation, but his overall edge is small. And there are plenty of times, given the specific lineup, that his expectation actually becomes negative.

If you're going to be an arrogant prick, at least be right.

edit: I see that you have humbly acknowledged your mistake. You were still a prick, so I'll the point, but applaud you for being man enough to admit you were wrong.

Good luck.

That's Prock.

One of the nice things about being me, as opposed to many other people, is that I get to be wrong, and I get to admit it too.

Default Go jump in the poker stove . . .

I love how donkeys insult solid high limit players, and then when a solid high limit player, well known on this site for excellent play and a high degree of knowledge, says that the fellow plays strong, and the donk continues by insulting him as well.

Go back to your hot stove league or whatever joke of a site you run, and don't comment on players playing at a level you will never attain.
