Default Q-9s Party 2/4

Pretty standard stuff, although I was pretty close to capping the flop. Is this a river you would call?

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP1 calls, 2 folds, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks,

Flop: (4 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP1 bets, Button raises, Hero calls, BB folds, MP1 3-bets, Button calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)

How about 3-betting the flop when it gets back, raised, to the hero.

It's ok, and I've done it in this spot, but I think calling is probabaly slightly preferable. It's not like you can fold the initial bettor out if he's got QT.

Yeah, checkraising the turn seems like a good idea now that you mention it. Not sure what i was thinking. I must have been all caught in the excitment of the hand.

If you don't mind me asking, how would you handle being 3-bet after check-rasing the turn in this hand?

Hi Mike,

I bet this Flop virtually every time. Were you intending to check-raise?

When all else fails, be sure and get there on the river.

That was precisely my intention. When the button made it two bets, I decided to just call a see what the original bettor would do.

I'd definitely call the river. I'm surprised you didn't check-raise the turn, having turned top pair. You probably have the best hand, and have plenty of outs if you don't.

my 2 cents.
