What's the most you've ever lost while trying to clear a bonus?

I'm working on clearing the $150 Empire bonus at $0.50-$1. If Empire was to magically release my bonus right now, I would have made a whopping $9.98. 70BB downswing in just over 600 hands. YIKES! This has been a run of 2nd best hands the likes of which I had only read about up until now. I'm just glad that it is happening on somebody else's money.

I'm curious to know as to what is the worst others have done while clearing a bonus?

-$4. I just lost $94 clearing the $90 interpoker bonus.

I tried to clear the $600 bonus on FTP. it's a 100% matching up to $600 bonus. I multi'd 1/2 for a while, then did the math on how long it would take me (50k hands or somethin ridiculous) so I moved up to 3/6. And then I did the math again. I ended up playing 8/16 3-handed and took some beats and that was it. -$600, bonus not cleared.

Doubt anyone can top this. My 2nd "best" was depositing $1k to do one of the Party reload bonuses, winning $700 in 35 hands at 10/20, withdrawing my $1k, losing most of the $700 multi-tabling 1/2 6max but clearing the bonus, then losing the bonus, canceling my $1k cashout, and losing the $1k. I only count this as my 2nd best because I didn't lose the money till after I had cleared the bonus.

Bonuses are bad for me, yet somehow I am considering the empire and paradise bonuses right now...

I lost 400 (-600+200 bonus, 30bb) clearing the last PartyPoker bonus, and no rb because it's my old Party account.

Ho hum.

I'm down $60 1000 hands into Empire150 - and I was up $80 yesterday after 500 hands, so -$140 swing today.

But the good thing is I've made $90 Sklansky Bucks off this bonus.

Empire gave me $50 a couple of months ago.

350 hands to clear. After 86 I was down to $1.18 so I just gave up.

A couple party bonuses ago I dropped 60BB at 15/30 clearing the bonus.

This is $1800 btw...then I got the $200 bonus. yippee!!


I've had a nice run recently where I lose 25BB's or so clearing the bonus...and get it back after the bonus is cleared. I guess all the sites are 'rigging' the cards to reward me for playing during non-bonus periods.

haha, they must do it to me too. I'm always losing money on bonuses, then the next week I clean up when I'm back playing for fun.

i lost a 100 trying to clear a random 10 dollar empire bonus one time, kinda seemed like a waste of time.

I bought into PStars for $600 to get their $150 bonus. I blitzed through that in like an hour coming nowhere close to clearing the bonus.
