Default Is there a way to tell if you\'re signed up under an affiliate?

I signed up at Party a couple years ago at the time having no clue about affiliates. Just for curiousity's sake, is it possible to figure out if I'm signed up under an affiliate?

Simple. If you went directly to the Party Poker website and signed up, you are not under an affiliate.

If you clicked any link to get to the Party Poker signup, you are most likely under an affiliate.

The question is, can you remember how you got to the site?

Did you just type in the web address? If so, definitely no affiliate.

If you clicked on a banner ad any time in the month before signing up, you signed up under an affiliate.

If you used a bonus code, then you most likely signed up under an affiliate.

I doubt that Party would tell you if you did.

That is not true -- Party Poker does not use month-long cookies as some other sites do. If the player doesn't open the account directly via clicking through the banner ad, then the affiliate doesn't get credit for the signup.

If you call PP and ask for affiliates and tell them you would like to know if you are under an affiliate I'm pretty sure they will let you know.

I am curious - why would you want to know?

Teddy, thanks for the correction. Are you sure that this was true several years ago? I thought that the 30-day thing confirmed by Party when I first started as an affiliate there. I'm trying to recall a policy from several years ago, so I admit that could easily be wrong.

Ooooooohhhh I think he probably would like to ask his affiliate for a little "compensation"

Perhaps a sound strategy
