[/ QUOTE ] I just got back from a week playing AC where I was staying with a friend on LBI. We were coming from Barnegat Light, at the north of the island, so our drive was on the long side (~an hour) but driving on the island is pleasant and it's a very nice place to stay. Very far removed from the AC scuzz.

On this topic, I am looking at rent a place for a long weekend over 9/29-10/2. There are going to be a few of us so I was thinking it would be cheaper to rent a beach house on brigantine or somewhere near AC. Does anyone have any leads or a place they rent offseason?
