[/ QUOTE ] This action makes no sense as you described it. I'm assuming by BB completes you means he calls, and that the two limpers call as well? So there are 6 to the flop? And the bet on the flop is then 1/6 the pot? I push here, the pot is already like $250 so it's not even a crazy overbet. |

Re: Pop Quiz Hotshot
Hand converter wouldn't work when i tried it.
I pushed...Got called by UTg +1 and BB. BB had a set of eights...UTG+1 had AQ of hearts. Turn-9 of spades River-7 of hearts... UTG+1 didn't seem to understand why I won and he lost when he had the Ace high Flush lol. He didn't bother to notice that BB made a full house on the turn. Just kept blabbing about having the nut flush. In late position the push would seem like a no brainer but i didn't get the $25 bet and figured the raise was either a set, two pair, or draw....though I couldn't see him limping with AK of hearts. |

Re: Pop Quiz Hotshot
After you call, there's $300 in the pot. If you raise the pot, you're going to have to put the rest in on the turn whether you miss or not. Moving in gives you added folding equity, and may knock out the only hand you really fear, Ah Kh. Moving in is an excellent option. You really want to blow out all the other draws to make sure your flush is good should you catch it.
Good luck. Eric |

Re: Pop Quiz Hotshot
I play plenty of 600nl and I doubt most people will fold tp+nut flush draw here. Since you assume you are drawing live, a push can be justified since you are breakeven or better in most siuations. It should be said this situation has little fold equity. I don't think you can push with just flush or open ended.

Re: Pop Quiz Hotshot
You're missing some pre-flop info.
I would just call and if BB pushes I'd call again. The only hands you want out are sets and A, K or Q high flushes. Anyone with a set would only fold if he thought he was facing set over set and with the draws on the board, even the set of 8s probably isn't folding. A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] isn't folding. You can probably push out K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] The people who you'd like to keep playing along are 3-9 high flushes, lower or the same straight possibilities and AK. If 2 pair wants to play his 4 outs for 2/3 of the pot, that's fine too. This is a situation where more players doesn't really change your pair (because the board pairing anything means you can easily be facing a boat). Call, maybe have someone behind you throw $75 in and play from there. topout |
