If "table captain" means someone who insists that other players follow the rules, I totally disagree. I want every player at the table to be a table captain. I will not put the dealer in the position of admonishing players (who may be big tippers). The dealer's job is to deal the cards. It is the floor's job to enforce the rules. If someone doesn't follow the rules, I ask them to. If they still don't, I call the floorman. So sue me. Where I play (northern California), table talk, playing out of turn, and other no-nos are rampant. Perhaps there are a lot of internet players coming in who are used to pushing the "fold" button any time they want to. Whatever the cause, it is totally out of control. Something needs to be done about it.

I definetely wouldn't call with AQ here. Given the action and no specific reads, I would say you are beat here > 80% of the time. It just so happened that this fell in the 20% but still, if you can't get off of tptk, you are pretty crappy.

Good point about unseen cards by the girl. Most telecasts fail to adjust for this. She seems vaguely intelligent. Hot.

Good point by bart about not discussing strategy while playing. Bart, I was the guy talking strategy with you at 20/40 last week. I refused to give u my 2+2 handle.... etc. Now I know why you suddenly got sort of quiet (unless you just dont like me). I almost never talk strategy because it invariably does tighten the table up but I was curious whether you knew what you were talking about.

Table captain usually means someone who trys to control the table through his aggressive play.

same as Table Coach... at least that's what Bart meant by it.

edit: agree with TimTim re: table captain... Bart was talking about discussing strategy at the table, IIRC.
