A7o blind steal - Inducing a bluff
Villian was something like 16/14/2.5 (50 hands) at the time this hand took place. I check the turn to avoid being bluffed off the hand, avoid paying off a King or slowplayed overpair, and induce a river bluff from any hand that would likely fold to my bet.

Re: A7o blind steal - Inducing a bluff
I would usually bet the turn and fold to a checkraise with the intention of checking behind on the river. I have to give this hand more thought.

Re: A7o blind steal - Inducing a bluff
This seems fine to me.
If you're ahead, Villain usually won't have a whole lot of outs, since in order for him to have more than 3 overcard outs, he'd need to have 3-bet preflop without an ace or a king. SB's flop check is odd. I'm not sure what's going on, really. |

Re: A7o blind steal - Inducing a bluff
I would likely not do this on any other card then the K. Problems with the K:
a) It hits a lot of his 3-betting range. b) If it didn't hit his hand, it's the most likely card for him to bluff at. As I mentioned, he is also not likely to pay me off with a worse hand at this point. |
