Default No woman has won a WPT event?

I could have sworn Kathy Liebert won one of those Party Poker Millions. Was that before it was a sanctioned event?

And where the hell are Mike's glasses?

That was the year before the WPT began.

What does this have to do with a woman winning a WPT event?

The PPM is now a WPT event.
but it wasn't a PPM event in year 1 when Kathy won it (since the WPT didn't exist yet).

Their story about 'will a woman ever win a WPT?' was pretty stupid.
Liebert already won a major event.
Annie Duke won a WSOP bracelet last year (but the WPT likes to pretend that the WSOP doesn't exist)
Jen Harman has made a couple of WPT final-tables.
etc etc.

Thanks, I was beginning to think I had dreamed the whole thing. I recall seeing it on TV and Hellmuth, as usual, going nuts when he didn't win, and Liebert being the first woman to win a million dollar prize. But you're right, now that I think about it, it was some cheesy pre-WPT production where they only showed a few hands.

Didn't Annie Duke win her braclet in the women's only event? Thus making it into some sort of victory for women rather pathetic?

She won the 2004 Omaha8 event, not a womens only event. She also won the tournament of champions.

I think you missed the point of my post.

Maybe this will clarify what I meant:
