Leak? Open limping with small PPs in EP 10 handed
I play 10handed 50 or 100 max NL.
When i pick up small PPs in EP to EMP, I always limp (even open limp) and plan to call a raise within the 5-10 rule. Is this poor play? Should i be folding the small PPs in EP when first to act? |

no, implied odds are usually too great to not limp.

Is this poor play? Should i be folding the small PPs in EP when first to act? [/ QUOTE ] It depends on the table, but in general, all these hands are playable for set value. My personal approach is to limp and then check/fold if I don't hit the set on the flop. On an extremely tight table where its unlikely that you'll be able to get much into the pot after the flop, its conceivable that your implied odds would be low enough to make these unprofitable, but that would be really rare at low stakes. Plus, if your table is that tight, you should be moving to another table. |

I don't know if its a good play or not, but I do the same thing. I guess on a highly aggressive table with big preflop raises, it'd be wise to lay it down. But you don't run into too many tables like that online.
I just checked my EP stats with these hands in PT and it appears I've made some money with them. |

good to hear.
i dont have any exact stats on my play here but i feel like it is definitely +EV for me. in any case, i definitely shy away from this play if there are super Lagros to act behind me. |
