Like a child? Ohhhkayy

You see that little "x" you're asking about? That is often used as a symbol for multiplication.

So when you see 10x, this means "ten times"

Bonuses have raked-hands requirements in ring games only (at most sites, there are some exceptions).

There is also usually a threshold for what makes a "qualifying" raked hand.

Most sites only require that you be dealt into the hand. A few sites require that you contribute to the pot.

In the example of "ten times," to clear $1 in bonus money, you must play ten qualifying hands that are raked.

Leveraging the above information, you should be able to read the T&C's of any bonus and site rules and figure the rest out for yourself.

Don't come back all shocked that hands raked $0.05 aren't counting on some sites. Read the T&C's and enjoy.

Explain to me like a child

[/ QUOTE ] It is obvious that none of you guys are around children very much. The proper way to explain this like you would a child requires only one word -- Because.

What this whole business is about.

Making money, like greedy [censored].

No, its about using bonuses to avoid going broke while you learn to play well. Then making money from poker with bonus money as just a little extra gravy.

[/ QUOTE ]

Dude, that's just semantics...

Just because you're jewish doesn't mean you can't be an anti-semite.

What this whole business is about.

What exactly does 7x, 14x, 20x mean?
Why do some sites that both have 10x for example, clear at different rates?
Thanks : )

[/ QUOTE ]

10X means you play 10 raked hands for each $1 in bonus money. so it looks like 10/1x or 10raked hands for 1dollar bonus money.

for example, at paradise, you must play 100 raked hands for $10 in bonus money. So it is essentially 100/10x or just 10x.

7x is 7raked hands for every dollar...etc.

Actually I was thinking of doing paradise. So you've done this bonus? Is it not a cent until I hit 100 raked hands, then $10, or is it $0.10 cleared for every raked hand?

they release at every 100 hands/ $10. Some sites release NOTHING until you clear it all! Paradise has no expiration date, which, of course, is good.
