First few hours with PE instead of PV
I'm overwhelmed.
Firstly, PE is better than PV because PV gets screwwed up when displaying icons from multiple DBs. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] However, I've found that rather than just sitting at the first table that caught my eye I've been table-surfing, trying to find good tables... Result: half an hour and maybe 75 hands played while 4-tabling. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] Not having to datamine is worth something for sure. Faster PT upload times ditto (not sure if this is true or not). I don't like that the writing is a little small (non-configurable?) and that the stats aren't coloured by range. I'm not sure how quickly the info in their db is updated... I've noticed that a few times the display has frozen and it kept the same stats for 10 min, until I restarted the table lookup window. It's nice to have a bunch of stats available before even sitting (and not having to wait for an entire hand). I don't know that this helps you unless you're being prompted the post though. I find that if you actually wait to find good tables to sit on their waiting lists, you don't get much done in an hour. By seeing complete stats on people, though, I was surprised how low the vpip was at same of these tables. ------ Does anyone want to share their experiences in switching between these two programs?

the table summary box is kinda neat, but I'd like to ask if I can change it to show WSD instead of W$SD for the table, as well as if i can get rid of the bb/100 for the table. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
This is pretty neat software though.

I agree with you in saying that it is pretty neat. However, I find what is really annoying about PE is that despite them upgrading their servers a few days ago, it continually loses connection to the server. Mostly this happens at night. I just finished using the trial version and probably am going to stick with PV or try PokerAce.
Other then that, I agree with you that the text size is too small. And they could add some more customize options for the HUD. The one thing I do like as you said is the speed of the data. You can open up a table and immediately know what the VPIP. No having to wait for PT to update.

In 3.0 it was much slower. Table VPIP is probably the single best new feature. The HUD is nifty and cool, but probably much less +EV than the simple table selection help. Stats on individuals really don't help all that much except in those rare tricky hand situations. Though PAPE (people against poker edge) would have you believe PE is practically clicking the buttons for you, and using Jedi mind tricks to force your opponent to fold.
