Default Vacation To Biloxi Or Tunica

I intend on taking a vacation to either Biloxi Or Tunica with the wife and child. I am looking for a balance of poker 8 hours a day and the rest with the family. I would like to hear the different things to do from anyone who has been to either location. I have been to VEGAS a number of times and want to try something different. I live and play near AC so thats out of the question. Thans for your advice.

I've heard better things about Tunica... I passed through and played in Biloxi once - and it wasn't much.. This was earlier this year... I'd imagine though that during the summer it would be more lively.

As an alternate - why not consider New Orleans. It's much more of a vacation destination, and theres enough poker action to satisfy your 8 hr day craving.

In addition if your from the North - you said around AC - Mississippi is sort of a culutre shock - that being said - it is fun, but not really worth it. Some of the old people there barely speak english (or whatever that mumbling about gumbo and crawfish is)

You think people from Mississippi mumble...but you recommend NEW ORLEANS in the same breath?

Louisiana is the only American dialect I have trouble understanding--and I'm an American!

Recommend Tunica because there will be more to do away from the casino. Memphis is a short drive, and has Graceland, Beale St, Sun Studios etc.

You want to go to Mississippi in the summer on purpose? And take innocent women and children?

Tunica is serious nowehere. Your family will hate you and you'll feel like a degenerate gambler for bringing them there. No that Biloxi's great shakes, but being able to see water will be psychologically reassuring for the rest of your party.

You're better off in New Orleans for range of activity. And the games are the softest, too.
