This post should begin and end with Frankenstein (with an obvious nod to Inna godda davida (sp?) even though it’s not really an instrumental), with a mid-way stop to discuss Booker T and the MG's Green Onions.

One Big Rush- Joe Satriani
Walk, Don't Run- The Ventures
The Star Spangled Banner- Jimi Hendrix
Gammer Gerten's Needle- Deep Blue Something (more pop than rock, but a cool song)

Eruption -- Van Halen
Bron-Y-Aur -- Led Zeppelin (we actually played this at my wedding ceremony, which was cool because I got to have Led Zeppelin mentioned in our wedding program)

I would say this song rocks like no other, but then again, "yyz", and "wheres my thing" are just as good.

it was also performed quickly years ago by astroglide! not sure if i should be proud of it or not.

my favorite instrumental is probably 'oscillate wildly' by the smiths.
