Default Party observer chat \"temporarily\" suspended. Yeah. Right.

What's the over/under that observer chat will be "temporarily" suspended . . . forever?

I dont mind it much, because they probably cant think of any other way to prevent spamming, which sucks and is -EV. I get tired of having to type "blah" on 3 separate lines everytime somebody advertises his Unmentionable deal.

Gonna fly to Vegas tonite and put half my roll on the "over" on this one.

I think they suspended the observer spam because it was starting to interfere with the constant non-stop barrage of Party's own chat SPAM.

Enjoy!

Its my understanding that in order to win the over on this, observer chat would have to be disabled for longer than forever. I would go with the under. On the over you wouldnt be around long enough to collect and on the other side if you went under you wouldnt be around long enough to lose.

Is this for real? Must've missed the earlier post. About damn time. I'm suprised no one at party thought of doing this earlier, since it was such an obvious solution.

I don't know, a rule that you ahve to have at least $50 in your account to chat as an observer coupled with a policy of not allowing spam AND seizing the funds of those that do bot-spam would work just as well. But I'm certainly glad that they've done this rather than doing nothing at all.

spammers are glass tappers.

Glass tappers bother me that much.

Its worth the time to make the screen scroll up 3 lines by typing something seemingly harmless.

Yes, also people that use the chat box as an instant messanger to have conversations with people that aren't at the table bother me as well.
