Actually, it's not too bad to only call the flop. Your hand is vulnerable to a straight draw and a flush draw. BUT at this point, A RAISE WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR HAND since the pot is already so large.

No it's a terrible play to just call the flop. He's not trying to protect his hand. He is raising for value, because the flush and straight draws are going to call anyway. Also they're not folding on the turn either even if you raise it up.

Anyway aside from that, I lay it down on the river.
