He meant on the flop. I mistook it the first time I saw it, which is why I said "Ugh." I thought the guy three bet preflop and turned a straight.

I'm sorry, he didn't raise pre-flop, he raised flop... with a gutshot.

I had the impression it was a pre-flop raise the whole time. Bleh.

Well I'll be... I wasn't giving him enough outs. I missed the 6 gutshot, too.

Concerning the free card... yes, I was being tricky and trying to do a check-raise. I guess his play worked, but it wasn't out of my fear for his raise. I just thought this might be a good time for it considering his aggression.
