i cant help but think of limit holdem as the female version of poker. have any high stakes nl players over come this adversity? i am sure there is alot of easy money in these games (all the best players play NL)...

Hah, without reading any replies, I guarantee you get flamed like a dog at a Korean barbeque for this one.

First of all you didnt even post what limit this was. If you really think all the limit players are so bad, you should make it your main game. Theres no way you make as much at 2K No limit as you will at the 100-200 and 150-300 limit games.

[/ QUOTE ]

2k nl players can make somewhere around 550 bucks and hour with less variance than 100-200.
30-60 limit you can swing somewhere around 200 an hour.
100-200 and 2k nl are comparable.

I started playing NL first and then I moved to limit. For the record.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know if I agree with this. $550/hr is 27.5PTBB/hr or about 55PTBB/100 1 tabling -- meaning they'd have to at least 10 table, probably 15 table or more to achieve such a winrate, I think. $100 an hour seems more reasonable, although I'm probably wrong.

Is my math off?

This number is way too low. I have no idea how much 10/20 NL is worth, but you can make a lot more than this playing 30/60.

I know of players who have beat the 15/30 for almost $300 an hour.

LOL. I currently can make 100$/hour playing 3tables of 200NL and one 400NL...
Do you think any good player at 2kNL (and probably 95% of winning players there are better than me) would bother to playe the game if it was worth less than that...

Is 20BB/100 sustainable? I don't know much about no limit.

A number of players here have made over $200/hr 4-tabling 10/20-6 and a number of those could make $300+/hr 6- or 8-tabling those games. So, I'm sure they can make plenty more than that at 30-60.

Is 20BB/100 sustainable?

[/ QUOTE ]

It is sustainable at lower limits. Many people reported winrates about 20BB/100 at 100NL and 200NL; I think average pro makes about 20BB/100 in small stakes, the best ones can make sth like 25BB/100 but I would be surprised to see somebody at 30BB/100 after more than 30k hands (I have almost 28BB/100 since I get PT I think I had similair winrate before... but people keep telling me that its not sustainable...). I dont know about 400NL though I think it is much tougher but sth around 14BB/100 should be possible (I dont have even decent sample at 400NL yet to share).
If you want to know about 1k and higher I cant help you but I strongly suspect that many players make 10BB/100 and more.
