Default Dumping bottom two on a nasty board

Villian in this hand is very good. Table has become a limpers parade since we got below 6-handed. My image is solid, straightforward. Although from previous play together he know's I'll dance a little from time to time.

Villian has $350, Hero $385.

$1/$2 NLHE 5-handed

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1.
UTG calls $2, MP calls $2, Villian calls $2, SB calls $1, Hero raises to $15, 2 folds, Villian calls $13, SB folds.

Flop: ($34.50) 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $30, Villian raises to $95, Hero folds.

Comments welcome. Nitiques of preflop are unwelcome.

looks ok to me, i dislike the raise simply because I think your hand is solid multiway, but other than that, looks ok.

7.5x BB PF-raise with 89s? Horrible.

4xbb plus limpers. Raise amount looks standard. He priced himself in nicely if he hits.

The raise amount may have been standard, but 89s is not a strong hand. It's especially not a hand to isolate with.

What makes you think it was an isolation play? All he needs is one caller to price everyone in. I doubt this is his standard play, but it is a nice change of pace and he will take at least one stack every time he hits.

Anyway, OP specifically asked us to not "nitique" pre-flop so I'll sign off here.

Nothing wrong with reraising PF here time to time. Flop played perfectly.

I like your pre-flop raise. It is the kind of hand to do that from the blinds becuase you can easily get aawy from it. I think you have to fold. Villain looks like he is protecting a set, has a straight or an OESFD, none of which you want any part of here.
