Default Tough Canterbury 200+25 AK hand

When the tourney started everyone had 4k and the blinds were 25/50. I have been doing well and have about 22k when the blinds are 200/400. I am utg with AKo and make it 1200 to go, it folds to the SB who has about 11k who makes it 3k to go, Whats your action? I can see arguments for folding calling and raising, just curious what everyone thinks is the best option. No reads by the way, just got moved to the table.
Any comments appreciated,
Noah

I am far from an expert so take any advice I give with a grain of salt but in my opinion calling is the worst you could do. Either fold or push and I am inclined to pushing.

I agree that calling is the worst option, more deliberating between pushing and mucking.

I think I might think about folding this. You made a fairly substantial open raise utg and he reraised from a blind. I put him on at least a pair...probably TT+. What's the worst hand you put him on? AK? If that's the case, are you really ready to race as a slight dog, or a huge underdog vs. AA or KK? I don't think I am. What's your read on the player in question?

sorry, missed that. With no read, I lay this down to a reraise specifically from a blind.

I agree. This is a very tough decision though. ANY info on the raiser can slant the decision one way or the other (push or fold). But with no info, I fold here (but not until they call the clock on me).

With position, I prefer calling and playing poker after that.

Thank you, I thought I was crazy here. It surprises me how many people adopt this way of playing with either folding or pushing, hero is in position, has a lot of chips, and has a good hand, pay the extra 1800 and see the flop, you are in position and making decisions is much easier, just call and see the flopp and hope to flopp a monster.

I wasn't going to answer since everyone before you disagreed with me and I didn't want to look stupid. But yeah, I'd call here.
