Default Post limits... brought up jokingly, however, could be good

Would creating a limit of say, needing 5 posts to create your own post be wholly bad for the forum? Wouldn't this deter a lot of spammers from starting posts with there links in it, especially if the error msg was something along the lines of...
"You do not have access to creating posts yet" or something like that which didnt fully say why, i feel like this would cut down on the accounts made solely for spamming.

at first I thought it may not be a bad idea but then you're going to have people making more completely worthless replies just to get the count up.

Or PMing the mods/admins asking why? There are obviously many, many more legit new members than spammers so I think this would be counterproductive.

True and true. Just a thought, as I seem to see a lot of 1 post wonders now a days. Maybe because I am looking more though than in the past.

Spamming is not a big problem. Spammers get banned fairly quickly and the posts deleted.
