Are you talking about Belterra in Indiana?
I went to their website, no mention of a tournament there.
(If not Indiana, then please ignore this post, if otherwise
then I'm interested too.)

Yea. It's not on their website, but I had heard they were starting tournaments on Thursdays and assumed from the previous post that they had begun. Mabey they haven't started yet. . .

They have in fact started. I didn't get a chance to play but here's a report from another message board I belong to:

[ QUOTE ]
I played last week and there may have been 50-75 people hoping to get in.

All players involved in a live game at 5:30 when registration begins, have first option to enter the tournament. They stop play one table at a time for those players to register, after all live tables have had a chance to enter, there is a line to enter(this was the 50-75 people) they took 10 people out of this line for the tournament (I was 6th). There is a max of 80 entries, and it will fill every week.

There is a prize fund of $3200, they paid $1120 1st -$200 10th. $800 of each weeks buy-in is held back for the finals. Tournaments will run for 13 weeks with the top 3 finishers each week qualifying for the finals, you may only qualify 1 time, but may continue to play each week, if a player finishes in the top 3 that has already qualified, the next highest placing non-qualified player will advance to the finals, i.e... 4th, 5th...

Each player start play with $1000 in chips, with blinds starting at $25-$50. Blinds go up every 20 min. $25-$50, $50-$100, $100-$200, $300-$500 (not a misprint) $500-$1000...

Things went a little rough the first week, but I would think it will get better as the weeks progress.

The tournament is a complete joke. The structure is outrageously fast--e.g. you start with 1k in chips and after 20 mins, blinds are at 50-100. There's no juice on the buy-in, which is nice . . . but I definitely won't play it again. Also, if possible, you should try to get there early in the afternoon and sit in a live game, as live game players are given priority for signing up for the tourney. I would guess that probably 2/3's of the tourney players had been playing live games---thus there were only 30 or so spots for the 100+ people trying to sign up!
