I think I'd fold here. I understand villain is loose, but that bet seems to me that he has something and wants to get his money in before a third spade hits. Maybe 2 pair or a set?

Villain is protecting something. Top pair does't look so good right now.

Villain pushed against not just one opponent, but two. Best case, he has a monster draw. Worst, you're drawing dead. Fold.

unfortunately I went against the consensus and got burned.

I thought he might have had a smaller kicker or KK or less

It's not clear from the original post what your first action was on the flop.

Regardless, if you were Villain, and watched an opponent raise preflop, and then saw a flop with an A, what would you do with your KK (or QQ or JJ)? On my list of options, pushing would rank dead last.

One pair isn't good enough to call this. Fold.

If he wants to push $25 to win a $3 pot and you have TP2K, let him have it. If he plays like this, you'll have a much better opportunity to stack him. Make a note and add him to your buddy list.
