Default Sitout on BB ?

i mostly play no limit s'n'go tourniments but due to a rush of bad cards lately i have been playing around with no-limit ring games. one thing i noticed was when the BB or SB comes around to certain players they will sitout the next hand or two and then post up the blinds. what is the reason for this?

The top players know that the blinds are the worst possible positions at the table, and will do anything to avoid being in the blinds.

So you mean players do that on purpose? Skip SB and BB and then post both of them in Cut-off?

If yes: Does it happens at 6-max or only at full ring?

I am ironic, but not in the way you're thinking.

You are confusing me now.

I guess I never gonna get to know if people do this sit-out thing on purpose or not

They are doing it on purpose, because they believe they are better off putting that money in position, than getting 2 hands in the blind and one on the button. They are probably wrong though.
