Extremely hard to comment on these hands without any read at all but I'll give it a go:

Hand 1 - i think this fold is ok if MP is a reasonable player. But, you are getting 13:1 with 2-4 outs (if we are behind) so I am definitely paying off a maniac and crying when CO hits his gutshot on the river.

Hand 2 - calling this river getting 10:1 is not a leak, so this is very read dependent but you are beat by any reasonable hand so a fold is ok against an unknown.
